Polysulphate is approved for use in organic farming systems grows

ICL’s unique Polysulphate fertilizer has recently received organic certification from the Control Union Certifications organization

Substantially more of the world’s organic farmers have been given the go-ahead to use our natural multi-nutrient Polysulphate fertilizer in their production of fruits, vegetables, and other crops.

Increasing role in organic agriculture
ICL’s unique Polysulphate fertilizer has recently received organic certification from the Control Union Certifications organization. “The certification from the Control Union, an internationally recognized organization, is another major step forward for Polysulphate […] as the EU and USDA standard are also accepted in other regions,” said Eli Amon, chief commercial officer with ICL.

This recent organic certification adds to the collection of certificates.

Natural and low carbon crop nutrition combination
Mined at ICL’s mine in the UK, Polysulphate is a natural, multi-nutrient mineral fertilizer containing sulphur, potassium, magnesium, and calcium in a single product. It is simply mined, crushed, screened and bagged, with no additional chemical or industrial processes. As a result, it has the lowest carbon footprint when compared to the alternatives.

From the UK, Polysulphate is exported to mainland Europe, South and East Asia, Africa and North and South America. As the number of countries where Polysulphate is approved for use in organic farming systems grows, so demand from farmers is set to grow.
