ORIGENE SEEDS is an innovative international seed company, active in research, plant breeding, seed production and processing, sales and marketing of hybrid vegetable varieties.
The company has recently expanded its ranks with the appointment of a new VP marketing and sales, Mr. Ron Ziv, who comes with 20 years of experience in those areas. Ron worked in the water and infrastructure area, but as he notes, he brings with him many years of experience in marketing and sales, with an emphasis on international marketing. As one who worked for years in companies supplying equipment to the agricultural sector, he's no stranger to that field. He is currently becoming fully acquainted with the seed sector and with Origene Seed's products and those of the various players in the value chain.
Entering a new position, particularly in the marketing and sales area in the Covid-19 era, is undoubtedly challenging. Instead of visiting customers around the world to get acquainted with the different markets, he must be much more creative in finding alternative ways to learn the market and the customers, remotely.
The initial challenge facing Ron immediately upon assuming his position was the "Open Days". Every year in July, Origene has held its annual event that included hosting local and international growers & distributors. So the company, led by Ron and the sales marketing & creative staff, is currently organizing an alternative "Open Day", in order to present Origene's many varieties to clients around the world, to enable them to become acquainted with the range of varieties, and to select appropriate products for the upcoming season.
We are certain that the challenge can be met, and wish Ron and everyone a speedy end to the crisis, so he will be able to travel and meet our customers and markets from close up.
