Pelemix has become one of the three global leaders in its field since its establishment nearly eighteen years ago.
Roy Peleg, whom I met at the Caspian Agro 2016 in Baku, told me about its operation.

Pelemix manufactures and markets coco coir (also known as coco peat) as a growing media.
It is renowned for its high quality product and high supply capacity thanks to its worldwide presence – four plants in India,

four in Sri Lanka and one in Spain.

Its products are sold in nearly fifty countries and its main markets are the US, Spain, China and Mexico.

Pelemix employs eight agronomists and a Doctor of Agriculture from China, who earned his degree at Ben Gurion University

at Beersheva in Israel.
Only a few short years ago it merged with Paskal, constituting fifty percent of Pelemix. Their collaboration,
mainly in the field of greenhouses, has borne fine fruit.

The coco coir growing media are the only ones to which no additives, including aeration, wetting agent or nutrients, are added.
In contrast to traditional peat, the hitherto principal growing medium, coir is extremely stable – even after compression it returns
to its original state.

Pelemix's control over the coco peat fibre composition and growth affects moisture retention and ensures its high drainage capacity.

Its products are therefore in great demand and sales are increasing, particularly as a hothouse growing medium, including

greenhouses specialising in trellised vegetables, household plants, nurseries and more.

Pelemix's other target markets are the burgeoning cannabis market given its legalisation in several US states, and the local independent vegetable market.

Pelemix facilitates the ever increasing use of replaceable growing media andthus contributes to halting the trend of decreased yields

caused by reusing soil without following a crop rotation routine.

In view of the global trends described here in brief, it is no wonder that Pelemix continues to grow and to prove that sustaining
high quality and regular supply ensures stability.
